قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الثلاثاء إن لوس أنجليس تتعرض لاجتياح من قبل "أعداء أجانب"، وذلك في خطاب ألقاه في قاعدة عسكرية تناول فيه الاحتجاجات في المدينة.

وفي خطابه أمام جنود في قاعدة فورت براغ في نورث كارولاينا، قال ترامب "لن نسمح باجتياح مدينة أميركية واحتلالها من قبل أعداء أجانب"، في إشارة إلى الاحتجاجات التي اندلعت على خلفية عمليات دهم تنفّذها سلطات الهجرة. وتابع "ما تشهدونه في كاليفورنيا هو هجوم شامل على السلم والنطام العام والسيادة الوطنية، ينفذه مثيرو شغب يرفعون أعلاما أجنبية بهدف مواصلة اجتياح أجنبي لبلدنا"
