تغلب فريق النشامى مساء الخميس، على الفريق العُماني بثلاثة أهداف دون مقابل، ضمن منافسات كأس العالم، ليكون بذلك على بعد خطوة واحدة من حلم المونديال.

ويتصدر النشامى المجموعة الثانية بمجموع 16 نقطة بفارق الأهداف عن كوريا الجنوبية.

وحضر سمو الأمير الحسين بن عبدالله الثاني، ولي العهد، مباراة النشامى بين الجماهير في ملعب مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي في مسقط.

وحسب نظام التصفيات، تم تقسيم المنتخبات على ثلاث مجموعات، تضم كل مجموعة ستة منتخبات، ويتأهل أول فريقين في كل مجموعة مباشرة إلى كأس العالم 2026، فيما تخوض الأفرقة الحائزة على المركز الثالث والرابع من كل مجموعة الدور الرابع من التصفيات.
