قال دبلوماسيون، الثلاثاء، إنّ الدول العشر المنتخبة بمجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة طالبت المجلس المؤلف من 15 عضوا بالتصويت الأربعاء على مشروع قرار يطالب "بوقف فوري وغير مشروط ودائم لإطلاق النار في غزة، تلتزم به جميع الأطراف".

ويطالب نص مشروع القرار، بالإفراج عن جميع المحتجزين لدى حركة حماس وغيرها، والرفع الفوري لجميع القيود المفروضة على دخول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة وتوزيعها بشكل آمن ودون عوائق على نطاق واسع، بما في ذلك من قبل الأمم المتحدة في جميع أنحاء القطاع.

ويحتاج القرار إلى 9 أصوات مؤيدة، وعدم استخدام أي من الدول دائمة العضوية، وهي الولايات المتحدة وروسيا والصين وبريطانيا وفرنسا، للنقض (الفيتو).
