الرئاسة السورية تؤكد غياب الشرع عن القمة العربية في بغداد السبت

أكّدت الرئاسة السورية مساء الاثنين أن الرئيس أحمد الشرع سيغيب عن القمة العربية في بغداد السبت، لافتة إلى أن وزير الخارجية أسعد الشيباني سيرئس وفد بلده في الاجتماع.

وكان مصدر دبلوماسي عربي أفاد لوكالة فرانس برس في وقت سابق الاثنين، بأن الشرع لن يلبّي الدعوة التي وجهتها له الحكومة العراقية.

وأوردت الرئاسة السورية في بيان "الرئيس أحمد الشرع لن يشارك في أعمال القمة العربية المزمع عقدها في بغداد"، مشيرة إلى أن الشيباني "سيمثل سوريا في المناقشات والمباحثات التي ستجري خلال الاجتماع".

وفي الأسابيع الأخيرة، قوبل توجيه دعوة رسمية للشرع بانتقادات شديدة من سياسيين عراقيين بارزين موالين لإيران وأنصارهم.

وزار وفد عراقي برئاسة رئيس جهاز المخابرات الوطني حميد الشطري دمشق نهاية الشهر الماضي والتقى الشرع ومسؤولين حكوميين للبحث في التعاون في الأمن والتجارة ومكافحة الإرهاب.

وقالت مصادر أمنية عراقية لفرانس برس إن هناك مذكرة توقيف قديمة بحق الشرع في العراق وتعود إلى فترة كان فيها مقاتلا في صفوف تنظيم القاعدة ضد القوات الأميركية وحلفائها وسُجن في العراق لسنوات إثر ذلك.
