تستعد وزارة الأشغال العامة والإسكان خلال الأيام المقبلة في تنفيذ مشروع تطويري جديد على طريق عمان-السلط، بهدف تحسين الحركة المرورية وتعزيز السلامة العامة. يمتد المشروع على مسافة 6 كيلومترات، من مجمع العوايشة وصولًا إلى بداية نفق دبابنة.

ويتضمن المشروع إنشاء طرق خدمات على جانبي الطريق لتنظيم حركة الدخول والخروج من المجمعات التجارية دون التأثير على سير المركبات في الطريق الرئيسي. كما سيتم صيانة الجزيرة الوسطية وإصلاح جسور المشاة لتوفير بيئة آمنة للمستخدمين. إضافة إلى استبدال وحدات الإنارة الصوديوم بأخرى من نوع LED موفرة للطاقة، مما سيساهم في تقليل استهلاك الكهرباء وتحسين الإضاءة على الطريق.

يهدف المشروع إلى رفع انسيابية الحركة المرورية، تقليل الازدحام، وتعزيز السلامة العامة من خلال تحديث البنية التحتية للطريق. كما يتماشى مع خطة الوزارة لتطوير شبكة الطرق الرئيسية في المملكة، مع التركيز على الاستدامة البيئية وترشيد استهلاك الطاقة.

ويُعد طريق عمان-السلط من الطرق الحيوية في المملكة، وتعتبر هذه الخطوة جزءًا من جهود الوزارة المستمرة لتحسين شبكة الطرق الرئيسية.
