قررت بلدة المشخاب العراقية، الاستعانة برجال الأمن لرصد المخالفين الذي يرمون نفاياتهم في النهر، ليتاح لها مقاضاتهم عبر أدلة موثقة.
وتقع البلدة في محافظة النجف بجنوب ، وتعاني من رمي بعض السكان للنفايات في فروع الذي يخترق البلدة وريفها، رغم تحذيرات ومناشدات السلطة المحلية.
ولجأ قائم مقام المشخاب، زمان الجنابي، إلى فيسبوك، معلنًا عن خطوة جديدة لحماية النهر، وقال إن مفارز الأمن سترصد المخالفين بالأسماء مع تصويرهم لتوثيق المخالفة.
وأوضح أن الخطوة التالية بعد التوثيق، هي "عرض الموضوع على أنظار السيد قاضي تحقيق المشخاب عن طريق دائرة ري المشخاب واتخاذ إجراءات قانونية رادعة بحق المخالفين".
وقال الجنابي إن لجوءه لرجال الأمن والقضاء، جاء لعدم التزام بعض سكان تلك المناطق بتوجيهات سابقة تطلب عدم رمي النفايات في الأنهار، من أجل الحفاظ على نظافة الأنهار الفرعية.
وقوبلت الخطوة بردود فعل متنوعة، حيث أيدها البعض لحماية الأنهار، واعترض البعض الآخر لعدم وجود حاويات نفايات على ضفاف النهر.
وقال الجنابي في رده على أحد المعترضين، إن غالبية المخالفات تكون في مناطق ريفية لا تشملها خدمات البلدية، ولا يمكن اعتبار عدم وجود حاويات نفايات مبررًا لرميها في النهر على حد قوله
