أكد مدير مستشفى الأميرة راية الحكومي بلدة دير أبي سعيد، بلواء الكورة غرب إربد،
الدكتور محمد ابو حلاوة، أن إجراء فحص السمع لحديثي الولادة (فحص الانبعاث الصوتي القوقعي: OAE) في الساعات الست الأولى من عمر الطفل بات ضروريا اكتشاف أي مشكلة سمعية بشكل سريع، ويتيح التدخل والعلاج المبكر.
وبين أبو حلاوة ، أن الفحص خطوة هامة لنمو الطفل، وهو إجراء بسيط وغير مؤلم، يُجرى في الأيام الأولى بعد الولادة (منذ الولادة وحتى أول أسبوعين من عمره)، للتأكد من أن الطفل لا يعاني من أي مشاكل سمعية قد تؤثر على تطوره اللغوي والفكري.

وأوضح، أن الفحص يتم باستخدام جهاز صغير يُوضع على أذن الطفل، يُرسل أصوات ناعمة لقياس استجابة الأذن أو الدماغ.

وأشار، أن الكشف المبكر يساعد في اكتشاف أي مشكلة سمعية بشكل سريع، يتيح التدخل والعلاج المبكر، ويسهم في تطور مهارات اللغة والتواصل عند الطفل.
وذكرت، أنه إذا لم تظهر نتائج الفحص استجابة طبيعية، تتم إعادة الفحص بعد أسبوعين في عيادة السمعيات، وإذا استمرت النتيجة غير طبيعية، يتم إحالة الطفل إلى الطبيب المختص للمزيد من الفحوصات.
وشدد أن الفحص المبكر هو خطوة أساسية لضمان صحة سمع الطفل ونموه السليم.
