ضبطت كوادر مديرية زراعة عجلون بالتعاون مع الإدارة الملكية لحماية البيئة والسياحة أحد المطلوبين الخطرين ومكرري الاعتداء على الثروة الحرجية في المحافظة.

وقال مدير زراعة عجلون المهندس رامي العدوان إنه جرى تسليم الشخص المطلوب إلى إدارة مكافحة المخدرات والشرطة البيئية كونه مطلوبا لهاتين الجهتين في قضايا متعددة بينها قضايا مخدرات واعتداءات متكررة على الثروة الحرجية.

وأضاف العدوان أنه تم خلال المداهمة مصادرة نحو طن من الأحطاب المعدة للبيع، مشيرًا إلى أن قيمة الغرامات المتراكمة على الشخص المطلوب تصل إلى نحو 100 ألف دينار وتشمل مخالفات بيئية سابقة.

وأكد أن هذه المداهمة تأتي ضمن جهود وزارة الزراعة المتواصلة في التصدي لكل أشكال التعدي على الثروة الحرجية وحمايتها من التقطيع الجائر، داعيا المواطنين إلى التعاون مع الجهات المعنية والإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات تمس البيئة أو الغابات.
