أفادت وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين (الأونروا)، بأن نحو 660 ألف طفل في قطاع غزة لا يتلقون أي تعليم مدرسي بسبب الحرب.
وقالت في منشور على موقع "إكس" اليوم الخميس: "لا تزال الأونروا أكبر مقدم لخدمات التعليم في حالات الطوارئ والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي في قطاع غزة، مانحة الأطفال بصيص أمل".
لكنها أشارت إلى تحديات هائلة، موضحة بأن "حوالي 660,000 طفل في غزة خارج المدرسة ولا يتلقون أي تعليم بسبب الحرب".
وأضافت الوكالة الأممية، أنه بعد استئناف القصف الإسرائيلي بعد انتهاء وقف إطلاق النار، تأثرت أنشطة التعلم المؤقتة بشدة.
وتابعت، أن أوامر التهجير الأخيرة في القطاع زادت من صعوبة حصول الأطفال على دعم الصحة النفسية والأنشطة الترفيهية التي تشتد الحاجة إليها.
وحذر مدير الاتصالات في "الأونروا" جوناثان فاولر أمس الأربعاء، من خطورة الوضع الإنساني في القطاع، مؤكدًا أن شبح المجاعة يخيم على القطاع وسط استمرار إغلاق إسرائيل المعابر والعمليات العسكرية.
