أكد محافظ جرش، الدكتور فراس الفاعور، أهمية تعزيز جميع الجهود من أجل حماية الثروة الحرجية في المحافظة.

جاء ذلك خلال جولة تفقدية نفذها المحافظ، اليوم الأربعاء، يرافقه رئيس مجلس المحافظة رائد العتوم وعدد من أعضاء المجلس التنفيذي، شملت عدداً من المواقع الحرجية في منطقة سوف.

وأشار الفاعور إلى أهمية تنفيذ خطة الحماية بالتعاون مع جميع الجهات المختصة، إلى جانب إشراك المجتمع المحلي المجاور للغابات، من خلال بث رسائل توعوية وإرشادية، وتكثيف الرقابة من كوادر الحراج على مدار الساعة، واستخدام وسائل الاتصال لضمان وصول المعلومات في الوقت المناسب.

واستمع المحافظ إلى إيجاز قدّمته مديرة زراعة محافظة جرش، الدكتورة علا المحاسنة، حول جاهزية كوادر ومعدات الحراج، والخطط الموضوعة لمكافحة الحرائق والاعتداءات خلال موسم الصيف الحالي.

وأوضحت المحاسنة أنه تم تجهيز خطوط النار، وفتح الطرق اللازمة، إضافة إلى تفعيل الشراكة الكاملة مع الجهات المعنية، وعلى رأسها الدفاع المدني، والإدارة الملكية لحماية البيئة، والبلديات.

كما اطلع الفاعور خلال زيارته لبرج محطة سوف على الإجراءات المتبعة ضمن منطقة الاختصاص، لضمان رصد أي حرائق أو اعتداءات في مراحلها المبكرة، واتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لحماية الغابات والثروة الحرجية.
