منتخب العراق يتلقى ضربة موجعة قبل مباراتيه ضد الكويت وفلسطين

أعلن الاتحاد العراقي لكرة القدم غياب المهاجم علي الحمادي عن مواجهتي الكويت وفلسطين في التصفيات الآسيوية المؤهلة إلى كأس العالم 2026 بسبب الإصابة.

وقال الاتحاد العراقي في بيان نشره على صفحته الرسمية في موقع "فيسبوك": "بات في حكم المؤكد غياب محترف ستوك سيتي الإنجليزي (علي الحمادي) عن قائمة المنتخب الوطني، وذلك بسبب الإصابة التي تعرض لها مؤخرا مع ناديه".

وأضاف: "بعد التأكد من الفحوصات الإضافية التي أجراها الفريق الطبي للمنتخب الوطني، اتضح عدم إمكانية اللاعب اللحاق بالاستشفاء قبل موعد المواجهتين ضد الكويت وفلسطين ضمن الجولتين السابعة والثامنة المؤهلتين لمونديال 2026".

وأكمل: "ومن المتوقع أن يغادر الحمادي اليوم الأربعاء مع وفد المنتخب ليعود إلى ناديه (ستوك سيتي الإنجليزي)، وذلك لاستكمال مرحلة علاجه المكثف. متمنين لزملائه تحقيق العلامة الكاملة في المواجهتين المرتقبتين".

ويواجه منتخب العراق ضيفه الكويتي لحساب الجولة السابعة من تصفيات كأس العام 2026 غدا الخميس في البصرة، على أن يلاقي فلسطين لحساب الجولة الثامنة الثلاثاء المقبل على ملعب عمان الدولي.

ويحتل المنتخب العراقي المركز الثاني في المجموعة الثانية برصيد 11 نقطة، خلف كوريا الجنوبية المتصدرة برصيد 14 نقطة، وأمام منتخب الأردن الثالث برصيد 9 نقاط.

ورغم أن العراق بحاجة إلى نتائج أخرى تصب في مصلحته، فإنه يمكنه حسم تأهله إلى النهائيات العالمية للمرة الثانية في تاريخه في حال فوزه على الكويت وفلسطين.
