قال مسؤول كبير في منظمة الصحة العالمية الخميس، إن الأمم المتحدة تبحث عن سُبُل لإخلاء مستشفى الشفاء في غزة، لكن الخيارات محدودة؛ بسبب القيود الأمنية واللوجستية.

وأضاف ريك برينان، مدير برنامج الطوارئ بالمكتب الإقليمي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لشرق المتوسط لوكالة رويترز، أن إحدى العقبات تتمثل في أن الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني يفتقر إلى الوقود الكافي لتشغيل سيارات الإسعاف داخل غزة لإجلاء المرضى.

وأردف قائلا، إن مصر منفتحة لعبور سيارات إسعاف مصرية إلى غزة للمساعدة في إجلاء الناس طالما يمكن توفير الضمانات الأمنية والمرور الآمن.
