قال مفوض السياحة والبيئة في سلطة منطقة العقبة الخاصة الدكتور نضال المجالي إن القراءات الحالية من محطات الهواء الثابتة في المنطقة الجنوبية والمدينة لم تسجل اية مؤشرات غير طبيعية.

وأضاف في تصريح خاص لـ الرأي إنه لا مؤشرات خطرة في منطقة السقوط نهائيا.

ونوّه، بحسب القراءات ما بعد الساعة السادسة والنصف فإن سرعة الرياح في الموقع 1.9 متر في الثانية وذات اتجاه شمالي، وهو ما منع أي توسع للغازات أو الروائح في أي اتجاه المدينة.

وأكد على أن تأثير الغاز محصور ولا تداعيات ضارة على الصحة العامة من الحادث.
