أكد وزير التنمية الاجتماعية أيمن المفلح ضبط أطفال متسولين يبيعون المخدرات، مشيرا إلى أنه جرى التعامل معهم من قبل قسم المخدرات والأحداث في مديرية الأمن العام.

وأشار المفلح في تصريحات إذاعية اليوم الأربعاء، إلى ضبط 1200 متسول، منذ 19 تشرين الأول الماضي ولغاية 15 كانون الأول.

ولفت إلى أن ظاهرة التسول أصبحت مهنة للحصول على أموال، عادا إياها طريقة للكسب غير المشروع.

وقال المفلح إن بعض الإجراءات القانونية ضمن قانوني الأحداث والعقوبات، غير رادعة لهم، لافتا إلى وجود توجه لتغليظ العقوبة على المتسولين.
