عُيّن نجم الترجي ومنتخب تونس السابق والمحلل في قنوات بي ان سبورت القطرية طارق دياب، وزيرا لشؤون الرياضة والشباب، بالتشكيلة الوزراية الجديدة التي شكلها اليوم رئيس الوزراء حبيب الجملي.

وتألق دياب مع الترجي ومنتخب تونس في سبعينات وثمانينات القرن الماضي، وهو اللاعب التونسي الوحيد الذي نال الكرة الذهبية الأفريقية (من فرانس فوتبول) في عام 1977.

وساعد دياب في تأهل تونس لأول مرة في تاريخها إلى نهائيات كأس العالم بالأرجنتين عام 1978، كما شارك مع المنتخب في الألعاب الأولمبية في سول 1988.
