قدم حارس المرمى لكرة القدم احمد مهند الجعيدي (18عاماً) نفسه بقوة في مسابقات الفئات العمرية ليساهم مع زملائه بشباب الأردن الظفر بدوري تلك الفئة مؤخراً.

وصبت التوقعات ببروز الجعيدي بعد ظهوره عندما كان في الثامنة من عمره مع الواعدين بمنطقة مرج الحمام، حيث شاهده مدرب حراس المرمى عمر الكسواني ليشارك بعد سنوات بمسابقات الفئات، وامتاز بأنه كان يلعب مع الفئة الأكبر.

ونال الجعيدي اشادات بعد قيادة فريقه للحصول على المركز الثاني بدوري ت14 عاماً ودخول مرماه أربعة أهداف فقط لا غير بتواجد مدرب الحراس اسامة يوسف، قبل أن يتم ترفيعه إلى الفريق الأول بمتابعة مدربه الكسوانين لينال بعده ثقة منتخب الشباب ليتم استدعاؤه لتلك المهمة.
